Transportation Specialist

A challenging role has opened at Addison Heights Health and Rehabilitation for a Transportation Specialist, who will be responsible for coordinating community mobility services. This full-time position involves transporting residents from three communities to their appointments and activities in a safe and courteous manner.
The successful candidate must hold an STNA certification and possess a valid Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record. A high school diploma is also required.
Key responsibilities include securing passengers' wheelchairs during transport, assisting residents in wheelchairs, and communicating with the administrator and nursing department regarding appointments and schedules.
The Transportation Specialist must also report any vehicle repairs or safety concerns immediately to the administrator. The schedule will be flexible and dependent upon the number of appointments scheduled for the day.
We offer an hourly wage as compensation for this role.
In terms of requirements, we are looking for someone with strong time management skills to create routes that accommodate appointments and activities. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.
