Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a Lead Respiratory Therapist. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Therapy department and performing all duties of a Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Therapy department
  • Perform all duties of a Respiratory Therapist, including patient care and equipment maintenance
  • Supervise and mentor Respiratory Therapist staff members
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the Respiratory Therapy department
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the State of Nevada
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with RRT eligibility acceptable through National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare provider's certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Blood Gas Technologist license issued by the state of Nevada within 90 days of hire
  • Five years of experience in respiratory therapy and pulmonary medicine in an acute care setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Five years of supervisory or leadership experience
