Snowmaker I

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Snowmaker I to join our team at Jay Peak Resort. As a Snowmaker I, you will play a critical role in the safe production of a suitable snow surface and will work as a member of a team of snowmakers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day operations in the safe production of a suitable snow surface.
• Work as a member of a team of snowmakers to ensure efficient and effective snowmaking operations.
• Perform snow quality checks and snow gun adjustments as needed.
• Assist with the assembly and operation of all types of snow guns and equipment placement on trails.
• Work long hours, overnights, and exposed to the elements as required.

Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using departmental forms and templates.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move 100 pounds or more.
