Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

Border States Electric is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our Customer Service Team, you will be responsible for promoting sales, obtaining orders, and providing exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our sales and marketing staff to meet and exceed branch sales and gross profit objectives.
• Obtain orders and provide proactive customer service sales and service functions, including order entry, expediting, pricing, returns, and coordinating deliveries.
• Provide timely follow-up on customer technical inquiries and requests.
• Maintain Open Order Reports, Billing Block Reports, and other reports as necessary.
• Actively participate in the marketing and sale of Border States Electric's products and services.
• Provide responsive, quality service to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Provide input to BSE personnel on customer needs or concerns regarding pricing, inventory, products, competition, and procedures.
• Coordinate with the Customer Financial Services staff to resolve customer-billing problems.
• Provide input to the pricing and purchasing areas on product evaluations, code descriptions, inventory management, pricing development, and other related functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a two-year business/trade degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of two years of prior customer service, city desk, or sales experience with strong knowledge of electrical products and systems.
• Technical ability to understand electrical systems with a minimum of two years of prior electrical distribution experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet, Email, and SAP software.
