Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of condensate equipment, documenting operational metrics and making necessary adjustments to controls.
  • Supervise the functionality of condensate return systems across various facilities.
  • Diagnose and resolve operational challenges swiftly to enhance equipment reliability and overall system efficiency.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Utility Service Agreement, collaborating with both customers and internal leadership to uphold compliance.
  • Execute minor repairs related to electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems.
  • Perform sampling and analysis of condensate within both customer and company systems.
  • Support equipment shutdowns and startups, ensuring adherence to standard lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Assist in keeping equipment in optimal working condition and cleanliness.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of standard operating procedures.
  • Provide operational support for overhead distribution piping systems.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned, including record-keeping and inspections.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of four years of experience in steam plant operations or maintenance, along with knowledge of steam distribution and condensate return systems.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills, both conceptual and practical.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in understanding system blueprints or CAD drawings.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and safety/environmental regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to learn and master various industrial software applications within a short timeframe.

Work Environment:

  • Work may occur under varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
  • Travel between facilities is required, with work conducted in environments that may have moderate noise levels. Appropriate safety gear must be worn at all times.

Physical Requirements:

  • Job duties may require bending, walking, or carrying equipment, with the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary, along with the willingness to travel within the designated operational area.
