Job Summary

Core Laboratories is seeking a skilled Calibration Technician to assist the lead calibrator in field measurements of bulk liquid storage tanks and barges. The ideal candidate will have good record-keeping abilities and a head for numbers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead calibrator in field measurements of bulk liquid storage tanks and barges.
  • Perform pipeline surveys and checks to determine accuracy of measuring equipment.
  • Maintain equipment calibrations and become familiarized with electronic calibration equipment.
  • Record all measurements on appropriate field reports and coordinate with customers in scheduling appointments.
  • Exercise safety requirements specified in Core Laboratories' Global Safety Manual.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent with mathematics emphasis.
  • Experience helpful but not required in the use of measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary and overnight travel involved.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Email applications.
  • Construction background helpful as well as experience in the use of surveying equipment.
Work Environment

The work environment is typically moderate with frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
