Job Summary

Core Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled Senior Calibration Technician to join our team. As a key member of our calibration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of our measurement equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calibrate and maintain measurement equipment, including tanks, barges, and ships, to ensure compliance with API standards.
  • Train and mentor junior calibration technicians in all applicable procedures.
  • Perform pipeline surveys and checks to determine the accuracy of measuring equipment.
  • Inspect equipment visually for defects and record all measurements on field reports.
  • Coordinate with customers to schedule appointments and ensure timely completion of calibration tasks.
  • Exercise safety requirements specified in Core Laboratories' Global Safety Manual.
  • Attend training and pass examinations in petroleum, chemical, and gas inspection, including Right-to-Know training.
Requirements

A high school education or equivalent, with a mathematics emphasis, is required. Experience in the use of measuring equipment, such as engineers' levels, theodolites, and strapping tapes, is essential. Additionally, strong organizational skills, including file management and records keeping, are necessary.

Language Skills

The ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and operating instructions, is crucial.

Mathematical Skills

The ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, is required.

Social Responsibilities

Interacting and communicating with job site personnel, clients, and vessel personnel in a professional and business-like manner is essential.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, and climbing, as well as lifting and moving equipment. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

Work Environment

The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
