Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nursing Assistant to join our team in the Medical Telemetry Unit at MaineHealth. As a Clinical Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, perform various service duties and technical tasks, including taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living.
  • Consider the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations, ensuring a high level of care and compassion.
  • Participate in continuing education relative to the role, staying up-to-date with the latest knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with the clinical nursing team to provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine and registration on the State of Maine Registry.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to follow oral or written instructions and complete standard forms.
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations and maintain accurate records.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to exchange information and maintain courteous relationships with patients, families, visitors, and Maine Medical Center employees.
