Job Overview:

Sunrise Systems Inc is looking for a candidate who can travel to various office locations to conduct in-person training sessions multiple times a month and also deliver training remotely via Microsoft Teams.

  • The primary responsibility will be to provide IT training to staff (adult learners) on custom IT applications developed by the company as well as Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions. Training on these products will be provided.
  • The candidate will deliver training for desktop, web, and mobile applications, collaborating with users to assess training needs, courses, and content.
  • The candidate will manage training schedules/course offerings within the Learning Management System (Oracle/Workday), oversee learner enrollments/testing/completions, and assign grades or certifications.
  • Feedback will be gathered through training surveys to enhance training delivery and IT products.
  • Collaboration with business units will be essential to boost class enrollments and address technical requirements.
  • The candidate will also facilitate training delivered by vendors or contractors.
  • Responsibilities include developing, updating, and maintaining IT training content, creating materials such as PowerPoint presentations, Trainer Guides, Quick Reference Guides, User Manuals, Storyboards, Videos, and/or Computer-Based Training. Engagement with technical staff will be necessary for content development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, TechSmith Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, and/or Articulate 360/Storyline is highly desired.
  • Recordkeeping for tracking time/activities, performance indicators, and ensuring data accuracy will be part of the role.
  • The candidate will work as part of a team within the IT organization and report to a Team Leader/Supervisor.
  • The IT Training Team consists of IT Trainers, Instructional Designers, and a Team Leader, delivering training statewide on approximately 40 applications covering various topics.
