We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Ohio Department of Commerce. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our clients, working closely with Registered Nurses and licensed physicians to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide skilled practical nursing procedures and treatments to clients in assigned work areas and clinics.
- Assist physicians in examinations, collect data, and provide emergency care as needed.
- Administer medications, provide instructions, and maintain medication accountability records.
- Chart client records, prepare and count medications, and transcribe medication orders.
- Observe and document client conditions, responses to medication and treatment, and other significant activities.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, provide input on client management and programs, and complete assessments and plans.
- Collect data for nursing quarterly assessments and annual IPP information.
- Provide work direction and training to direct care staff in health maintenance services.
- License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- MDS certification issued by ANNAC.
