We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Ohio Department of Commerce. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the healthcare team in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide skilled nursing procedures and treatments for clients in assigned work areas and/or clinics.
- Assist physicians in examinations and collect data, including vital signs and medical history.
- Administer medications, including immunizations and controlled substances, and maintain accurate medication records.
- Chart client records, prepare and count medications, and transcribe medication orders.
- Observe and document client responses to medication, treatment, and behavior.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide input on client care and treatment plans.
- Collect data for nursing quarterly assessments and annual IPP information.
- Provide work direction and training to direct care staff in providing health maintenance services.
- License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- MDS certification issued by ANNAC (American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination).
