About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team at Southwest Research Institute. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and testing spaceflight electronics hardware for command and control, data storage, signal processing, power generation and distribution, and communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design solutions for spaceflight electronics hardware, ensuring high reliability and performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, write specifications, and implement designs from concept to hardware.
  • Lead and collaborate with a team of engineers to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Interface with customers to compile and present data to justify design decisions.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals for space electronics projects.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including specifications, user manuals, and test plans.
  • Mentor junior engineers and identify training opportunities to support career growth.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading development of hardware for high reliability applications.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading teams of engineers through electrical hardware projects, meeting cost, technical, and schedule constraints.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Salary range: $95,930-$179,109.
