Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder System. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Work independently on most tasks, with minimal supervision
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly pay: $36.10 per hour
  • Sign-on bonus: $2500 at 30 days and $2500 at 90 days
  • Certification bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700
  • Quarterly bonus: up to $500 every quarter
