Description

Texas HCS Inc. is seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our team in the Harlingen area. As a Handyman, you will be responsible for performing routine and as-needed maintenance tasks in our group homes for individuals with disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in minor home repair and maintenance, as well as the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for coordinating outside maintenance services, maintaining organized records, and performing various tasks such as yard maintenance, painting, and minor electrical and drywall repairs.

Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating inspections and pest control services
  • Preparing for and coordinating fire safety inspections
  • Coordinating routine vehicle maintenance and washing
  • Maintaining organized maintenance records and service contracts
  • Performing yard maintenance and monthly physical site inspections
  • Painting interior walls and performing minor electrical and drywall repairs
  • Troubleshooting and identifying basic HVAC and plumbing problems
  • Overseeing more complex repairs performed by outside experts


Requirements:
  • Valid and current Texas Driver's License
  • Clear Background Check
  • Clear DMV Check
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Basic computer skills, including email and internet
