Power Systems Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Power Field Service Technician to join our team at Altorfer. As a Union Power Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing Power Systems equipment, completing service reports, PM checklists, and timecards within department guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Effectively troubleshoot and repair Power Systems equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Complete service reports, PM checklists, and timecards within department guidelines.
- Utilize knowledge of SIS, ET, parts, and service manuals to efficiently handle service tasks.
- Take ownership of jobs, properly segment tasks, and order parts as needed for seamless project execution.
- Communicate job status effectively to clients and office personnel.
- Conduct complete visual inspections and testing of Cat and non-Cat engine and generator sets, noting deficiencies as part of preventive maintenance service.
- Perform thorough preventive maintenance and testing on Cat and non-Cat engine and generator sets, ensuring optimal equipment performance and reliability.
- Minimum of four years of experience in electric power generator maintenance and repair.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of efficiency and cleanliness.
- Good decision-making skills and the ability to follow directions.
- Effective communication skills and strong work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of Office software, preferably MS Word, Excel, and email.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements/Environmental ConditionsThis position offers an exciting mix of field and shop environments, primarily at customer job sites. As a Union Power Field Service Technician, you may be required to walk, bend, and lift up to 75-100lbs on a continuous basis. Safety is paramount, and appropriate safety equipment will be provided as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
