Position Overview:

The Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist will oversee the management of environmental regulatory adherence and sustainability performance metrics. This role involves comprehensive data analysis, regulatory interpretation, and program development to ensure compliance with environmental standards and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration on environmental compliance and performance metrics to benchmark and address critical issues.
  • Monitor environmental regulations and develop processes to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Track and report on environmental performance metrics, coordinating projects to enhance sustainability efforts.
  • Assist in preparing utility budgets and analyze consumption data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on environmental compliance during project implementations.
  • Administer training programs to enhance associate knowledge of compliance standards.
  • Manage contractor scopes of work to align with environmental strategies.
  • Conduct routine environmental assessments and prepare necessary regulatory reports.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for environmental performance enhancements.
  • Conduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of environmental programs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop solutions to address compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Foster the development of team members through training and mentorship.
  • Research and implement innovative solutions to promote environmental sustainability.

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

  • 2 to 6 years of experience in environmental management or related fields.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field.

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
