Job Summary

The Kenaitze Indian Tribe is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our Primary Care team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication and swallowing abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific functional needs
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Counsel patients and families on effective communication strategies and techniques
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of experience working in outpatient speech-language pathology
  • Alaska State driver's license and insurability under the Tribe's policy
  • BCLS certification within 3 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic health records
  • Knowledge and experience working with cultural diversities

Working Conditions:

  • Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Travel:

  • Local, in-state, and out-of-state travel for training and meetings
