Job Summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Division Chief. This is a fixed-term faculty appointment that will lead and expand the division's clinical, education, and research activities.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise clinical care in the general pediatric ICU, cardiac ICU, and complex intermediate care patients
  • Provide key support roles for patient transport of critically ill children from around the state and region
  • Operate a robust ACGME-accredited fellowship training program
  • Engage in multiple clinical trials and participate in national and international collaboratives
Requirements
  • MD or DO, board certified in Pediatrics and sub-board certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
  • Experience providing clinical care and supervision of patients in a general pediatric ICU, cardiac ICU, and complex intermediate care patients
  • Strong leadership, effective interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills
