Job Title: Assistant Nurse Manager

Albany Medical Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) team.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Nurse Manager will provide leadership and support to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment. This role will involve coordination, planning, and administrative management duties, as well as mentoring and developing professional caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff on the assigned primary shift of work.
  • Mentor and develop professional caregivers to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Collaborate with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division to achieve short- and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services consistent with the hospital's mission and departmental/unit vision and philosophy.
  • Ensure competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers, including referring facilities, hospital staff, and patients in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. A strong understanding of nursing principles and practices, as well as experience in a leadership role, is essential for this position.
