Position Overview:

IBI Group is looking for a Senior Landscape Architecture Leader to enhance our Placemaking Practice. This role is integral to our Architecture and Urbanism (A&U) division within the Places Global Business Area.

This position is crucial for the growth of our practice unit, aligning with the strategic objectives and financial goals of the Placemaking Practice and A+U Division, with a focus on operational efficiency and workforce optimization.


Key Responsibilities:


As a senior figure in our Placemaking practice, the ideal candidate will be passionate about developing vibrant, walkable urban environments across various project types, including:
1. New community developments
2. Urban revitalization
3. Waterfront projects
4. Sports and entertainment venues
5. Institutional and corporate campuses
6. Transit-oriented developments

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for:
- Driving project performance metrics such as utilization, billability, and overall service quality.
- Crafting and executing strategies that ensure exceptional service delivery and profitable growth within the practice group.
- Leading business development efforts, fostering new client relationships, particularly in key markets.

Additionally, you will:
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of the business plan, ensuring team alignment and understanding of their roles in achieving objectives.
- Cultivate strong client relationships to understand their needs, enhancing satisfaction and retention.


Qualifications:


The ideal candidate will possess:
- Over 15 years of experience in landscape architecture, specifically in creating walkable urban environments.
- A relevant degree in landscape architecture or architecture.
- Strong critical thinking abilities that merge innovative concepts in land use, landscape architecture, urban design, and planning.
- A proven history of establishing successful planning and urban design practices in a collaborative environment.
- Experience managing diverse teams across different locations and significant involvement in large-scale, complex projects.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effectively conveying ideas to clients and stakeholders. Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp is required, while familiarity with ArcGIS and other 3D design software is advantageous.
