Whole Health Clinical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Whole Health Clinical Director to lead our team in providing exceptional patient care and services. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for directing the Whole Health system, including the provision of health coaching, patient-centered care, clinical services, and education throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain inventory of Complementary and Integrated Health (CIH) approaches offered at VHA facility, including gap analysis as it relates to CIH approaches that must be offered by VA/community per Directive 1137.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to support and ensure compliance of the Complementary and Integrated Health Services.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of the patient-centered care concept throughout the organization.
- Use individual and aggregate needs assessments, standards of professional practice, and strategic plans in the process of program development.
- Guide the staff in the application of patient-centered care concepts.
- Chair the Whole Health Steering Committee.
- Develop clinics and systems (including documentation templates) required for the delivery of Whole Health Veteran services.
- Lead, facilitate, and evaluate system changes that support meeting performance measure goals and thus effective patient outcomes.
- Facilitate process improvement in programs/systems that enhance healthcare delivery; analyze program/system outcomes and plan strategies to initiate needed change.
- Act as a consultant in patient-centered care principles and performance measures.
- Effectively use group process, interpersonal, and communication skills to facilitate win outcomes in a positive and productive working environment.
- Use knowledge, expertise, principles or models, and current research to plan, implement, and evaluate organizational progress towards accomplishing patient-centered care initiatives.
- Serve as the liaison between the medical center, patients and staff, and the community regarding the patient experience, patient rights and advocacy.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- You may be required to serve a probationary period.
- Subject to background/security investigation.
- Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process.
- Must pass pre-employment physical examination.
- Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
- Must have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
- Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the School of Social Work is fully accredited.
- A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work.
- Persons hired or reassigned to social worker positions in the GS-0185 series in VHA must be licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level.
- English Language Proficiency: Social workers must be proficient in spoken and written English in accordance with VA Handbook 5005, Part II, chapter 3, section A, paragraph 3j, this part.
