Job Summary

Public Health Dayton & Montgomery County is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead the Communicable Disease Clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Communicable Disease Clinic, ensuring high-quality care is provided to clients.
  • Develop and implement plans, strategies, and goals for the clinic, in collaboration with the Office Director.
  • Manage and direct staff, including clinic managers, to ensure compliance with requirements and regulations.
  • Provide leadership through training, coaching, discipline, accountability, and evaluation of performance.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate public health clinic performance, including audits and corrective action plans.
  • Develop and update policies and protocols for the clinic, ensuring compliance with regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Oversee financial activities, including budget development and management, and ensure the allocation of resources to meet goals.
  • Represent the agency in emergency situations and participate in agency committees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in public health, with 3 years of supervisory and management experience.
  • Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License and Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Knowledge of public health and communicable diseases, as well as evidence-based and evidence-informed public health practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • 3 years of public health experience.
  • Ability to write grant applications, statistical and narrative reports.
  • Ability to collaborate with outside agencies and interpret and apply protocols, regulations, policies, and procedures.
