Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at New Ulm Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our emergency department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including reviewing medical history, collecting and prioritizing data, and making immediate decisions to prevent harm or disability.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of six ED physicians, hospitalists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Participate in a Level IV Trauma Center and Stroke Ready program, with access to system Service Lines for mental health, cardiology, neurology, and more.
  • Enjoy flexible scheduling, with 12-hour shifts and an average of 12 shifts per month.
  • Take advantage of a hospital-employed model, with a straight hourly rate and 1.5x holiday pay.
  • Eligible for a 5% Annual Performance Incentive Bonus and comprehensive benefits, including a 401K match and CME spending account.
Requirements:
  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency training program in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience.
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable.
  • ACLS/BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.
  • ATLS or CALS certification.
  • PALS - Pediatric Advance Life Support - Multisource required.
