Cone Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Cardiac Catheterization Nurse Specialist. This role will be responsible for providing advanced patient care during cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assess complex patients' medical history and current condition to prepare them for cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular procedures.
- Operate specialized equipment and monitor patients during procedures, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation of patients' responses and procedural details.
- Collaborate closely with the healthcare team, including physicians and technicians, to facilitate smooth and successful procedures.
- Provide patient education and support before, during, and after cardiac cath and peripheral vascular lab procedures.
- Adhere to professional advancement program requirements, engage in ongoing education, and mentor others to promote professional growth and development.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, or another Allied Health Curriculum.
- Experience: More than 2 years of Cath lab experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state, RCES or IBHRE for EP, CCRN, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
