Traveling Catheterization Laboratory Specialist

Job Summary:
Nurse First is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in a dynamic healthcare setting. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cath lab, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure, positioning the patient, and applying necessary restraints.
- Assist the physician during procedures, including passing instruments, monitoring the patient's vital signs, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Monitor the patient's condition during and after the procedure, reporting any changes or concerns to the physician.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of the procedure, including patient information, procedure details, and any complications or issues.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of cath lab procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
