Position Overview

In this consulting role, you will leverage your Salesforce expertise to challenge and enhance your professional skills. Our team delivers exceptional services to assist nonprofit organizations in achieving their objectives. You are an ideal candidate if you are familiar with the standards of professional services, including high client satisfaction and productivity metrics.

Work with nonprofit clients from your home or our Seattle office. This position is well-suited for an experienced Salesforce administrator with comprehensive technical skills, capable of focusing on intricate details while maintaining a broad perspective.

You will become part of a team dedicated to utilizing Salesforce's unique capabilities to foster social change. A robust technical understanding of Salesforce is essential to customize solutions for each client's needs. This role requires creativity, collaboration, empathy, and effective communication with client representatives, including those from varied backgrounds and with limited technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Salesforce Consultant's responsibilities are expected to be distributed as follows:

Consulting / Architecture 50%

  • Develop the organizational strategy and data model for Salesforce implementations, including identity and access management, data and process integrations, and solutions that address large data volumes and privacy concerns. Propose optimal solutions for business requirements using a combination of clicks and code as appropriate.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs, define requirements, and recommend and implement solutions aligned with Salesforce best practices.
  • Guide clients in evaluating third-party applications to enhance Salesforce functionality and integrate selected applications to support their business processes.

Engineering 50%

  • Implement Salesforce configuration changes, including but not limited to Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, Lightning record pages, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports.
  • Manage data to enhance Salesforce data quality, implementing necessary rules and automation.
  • Configure access and security settings, including profiles, permission sets, groups, and sharing settings.

Required Competencies

Qualifications

Required

  • A minimum of four years of experience with Salesforce, including at least three years in a system administrator role.
  • Experience managing Salesforce implementations from requirements gathering to launch and ongoing support.
  • Three years of experience with the Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack.
  • Proficiency in automating business processes using validation rules and Flows.
  • Experience with the Salesforce Program Management Module (PMM).
  • Expertise in Salesforce Flow.
  • Experience in building Experience Cloud portals.
  • Experience integrating third-party applications with Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience using DevOps tools such as native Salesforce DevOps and managing repositories with GitHub.
  • Salesforce certifications: Administrator and Platform App Builder.
  • Achieved Ranger level on Trailhead.

Preferred

  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations.
  • Background in customer service, business analysis, or consulting.
  • Experience with ETL tools.
  • Familiarity with other Salesforce offerings such as Volunteers for Salesforce (V4S), Outbound Funds Module (OFM), DLRS, etc.
  • Experience with Nonprofit Cloud (NPC).
  • Some knowledge of Apex/Visualforce/JavaScript/HTML.
  • Experience creating (un)managed packages.
  • Salesforce certifications in Nonprofit Cloud consultant and Experience Cloud consultant.
  • Experience with a variety of third-party integrations, including form builders, payment processors, donation and event platforms, mass email integrations, and text messaging.
  • Experience using software hosted on dedicated servers.
  • Active involvement in the Salesforce community, such as participating in user groups and engaging on Trailhead or other Salesforce-related platforms.

Salary Range: $80,000 to $93,000 annually.
