Position Overview:

Our facility is looking for a proactive Materials Quality Assurance Engineer dedicated to excellence and eager to contribute to the development of a premier supplier quality framework. The selected candidate will primarily focus on evaluating and managing supplier risks, performance, and enhancements to guarantee the stability of both Entegris' and our clients' supply chains, supporting the Materials Solutions Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the principal technical liaison between raw material suppliers and Entegris to ensure compliance with all incoming material quality standards. Analyze and interpret supplier process and product data while understanding the implications of material properties on product quality.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of supplier manufacturing processes and act as a subject matter expert to mitigate and prevent quality challenges.
  • Enhance supplier capabilities, ensuring they meet all quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
  • Act as the technical and risk assessment lead for any supplier modifications affecting raw materials.
  • Coordinate the development of the roadmap and risk assessments with suppliers for continuous improvement initiatives related to processes and metrology.
  • Establish strong relationships with suppliers and engage regularly to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate closely with various functional teams in quality, manufacturing, commercial, and R&D, as well as global materials quality engineers, to gather information for supplier metrics.
  • Drive supplier corrective actions to completion.
  • Lead customer investigations concerning raw materials, including direct engagement with customers when necessary.
  • Utilize Entegris' quality management protocols, including audits, FMEAs, corrective actions, scorecards, six sigma projects, and change management, to ensure a consistent and high-quality raw material supply.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for value enhancement and cost reduction with the existing supplier base, collaborating closely with the procurement team to ensure successful implementation.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in chemical or polymer manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science; an advanced degree is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, continuous improvement methodologies, problem-solving techniques, SPC, and FMEA.
  • Ability to distill and summarize complex data sets to influence critical decision-making.
  • Familiarity with statistical software such as Minitab and JMP.
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and cultivate strong business relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • A strong sense of urgency in addressing the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Knowledge of materials metrology and polymer processes.
  • Solid understanding of Quality Systems and Auditing.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with suppliers or customers.
  • Experience in semiconductor, microelectronics, automotive, or other high-tech sectors.
  • Project management experience.
