Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, promoting sales, and maintaining a well-organized sales floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
  • Engage with customers to ask for cash donations and provide excellent customer service.
  • Identify and establish prices of goods using merchandise types, markings, or seeking assistance from on-site leaders.
  • Complete closing procedures as necessary.
  • Maintain regular and consistent in-person attendance.
  • Greet customers entering the store and thank customers leaving the establishment.
  • Maintain the sales floor by following floorwork and PPM standards.
  • Stock merchandise in assigned areas.
  • Utilize systems, including phones and paging systems, to make regular announcements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent math skills preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and understand instructions, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for the position.
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
