Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Cath Lab. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality medical services.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for reactions and side effects.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients, including cardiologists, surgeons, and other medical specialists.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient histories, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest medical technologies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • AHA BLS certification prior to the end of the orientation period.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
