Job Summary:

The Purchasing Co-Op will contribute to process improvements through cost reduction, market analysis, and vendor evaluation based on quality, price, and delivery speed for the Van Buren location.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Purchase-to-Pay process from start to finish.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with supplier contacts to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Ensure efficient ordering and inventory management by considering minimum order quantities, inventory carrying costs, and other factors.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and develop countermeasures when critical metrics are not met.
  • Support purchasing, resolve discrepancies, perform data reviews, monitor vendor quality, and conduct audits.
  • Address and resolve receiving, invoice, and purchase order issues; audit invoices as requested; support the match exception and vendor add process.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervision as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management.
  • Supply Chain concentration preferred.
  • Ability to integrate people, processes, or systems as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to define and document processes.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable as needed.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
About Constellium Van Buren:

Constellium Van Buren is a state-of-the-art production facility producing customized aluminum automotive structures and crash management systems for OEM customers. The plant works closely with customers and suppliers to ensure precise performance specifications.

Constellium Intern Benefits and Program Information:

Constellium's internship/Co-Op program provides real-life experience and projects to grow your skillset and stand out amongst peers. The program involves working with multiple departments, developmental opportunities, and intern outings for networking.

Intern offers are based on Fall, Winter, and Summer semesters. Interns and co-ops will need to complete a background check, drug screen, and physical before starting employment. Interns and co-ops will turn in a copy of their transcript at the beginning of every new work term and or semester. Interns and co-ops can be offered additional work terms after graduation.

Interns and co-ops will receive 2 paid personal days per work term and or semester. Interns and co-ops can take unpaid time off per manager approval. Interns are eligible to participate in Constellium's 401K Program effective the first of the month following thirty (30) days of employment. Interns and co-ops qualify for the safety shoe and safety glasses reimbursement. Interns and co-ops will receive pay raises based on their class standing.

Interns and co-ops are eligible for a monthly $500 housing stipend if they live 50 miles away from their home location. Interns and co-ops qualify for expense reimbursements, only if they had manager and intern coordinator approval ahead of time.
