Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Laboratory Specimen Processor at Sonic Healthcare. This is a full-time position that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and preparing laboratory specimens for testing, ensuring they meet quality control standards. This includes inspecting specimens for accuracy and completeness, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective action as needed.

This role involves operating various laboratory equipment, including centrifuges and microscopes, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of specimen processing, storage, and disposal, adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.

You will collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient care.

Estimated Salary Range

$42,500 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in clinical laboratory or related field preferred.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in basic computer software and operating systems.
  • Communication and Teamwork Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills.
