As a Diesel Mechanic at United Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment fleet. Your expertise in diesel systems and mechanical aptitude will be essential in performing routine maintenance and repairs on complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Assist in the training of lower-level technicians to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, including electronic documentation of work orders
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair and maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts, ensuring timely and efficient service
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • 3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining equipment and tools
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
  • Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
