At Smile Again Dental Implant Center, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our oral surgery team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chairside Assistance: Assist the oral surgeon and/or prosthodontist in all chairside tasks related to dental implant surgical and restorative procedures.
  • Procedure Support: Assist in the set-up, administration, cleanup, and recording of procedures under local anesthesia, nitrous sedation, and IV sedation.
  • Instrument Handling: Pass dental instrumentation and dental implant parts and components to the oral surgeon and/or prosthodontist.
  • Patient Care: Provide pre- and post-operative care and instructions to patients.
  • Impressions, Scanning, and X-rays: Prepare materials for impressions, computer for intraoral 3D scanning, and take dental x-rays as directed (if certified).
  • Sterilization and Disinfection: Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment and prepare trays of instruments for procedures.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Be familiar with and comply with all Health and Safety rules and guidelines on infection control.
  • Office Duties: Perform additional office duties as needed, including scheduling and receiving patients, ordering supplies, and records management.
  • Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned per state regulations or licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

· Prior dental assisting experience is required (2yrs)

· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

· Proficient computer skills (we are a fully digital practice that uses software for treatment and records)

· A valid driver's license (due to limited access to public transportation)
