Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Substitute to provide high-quality healthcare services to students in our educational institutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of school health services during the absence of our campus clinic staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and care for ill and injured students, communicating with parents as needed.
  • Administer first aid, CPR, or AED as required, and manage student behavior.
  • Follow students' medical protocols and comply with all relevant regulations and district policies.
  • Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities.
  • Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance to ensure a consistent focus on student learning.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited high school or GED.
  • Valid current Texas RN or LVN license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • One year of experience in a health-related position, including contact with school-age children.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress, and handle stressful situations in a calm and efficient manner. You may be required to lift 50-80 pounds unassisted and work prolonged or irregular hours, including occasional districtwide travel.
