About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Lancaster SNF. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing high-quality speech-language therapy services.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide speech-language therapy services to residents, including individual and group sessions, to improve communication skills and address cognitive-communication deficits.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Document resident progress and maintain accurate records of treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in resident care planning and family/resident care plan review meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices by attending in-service training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • M.A. or M.S. Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved school.
  • State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Clinical Competence Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Current, valid CPR/BLS certification.
  • Verification of qualifications by the State Department of Health.
