We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our team at UNC Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of cardiovascular health.

About the Role

This per diem position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art outpatient facility, providing a unique blend of clinical expertise and cutting-edge technology. As a Cardiac Echo Sonographer, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering exceptional patient care, including pre-procedure and post-procedure assessment and emergency cardiac care
  • Ensuring equipment is calibrated and properly maintained, performing quality assurance monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Generating high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and vascular structures
  • Providing staff training and education, as needed
  • Monitoring and recording patient information, maintaining report storage and data systems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program
  • Registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligibility within one year of hire
  • No prior experience required, but a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a dynamic team environment
