Overview

Modern Treasury is seeking a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Professional Services (ProServ) Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in directly impacting our customers, influencing product decisions, and contributing to the company's growth.

Our ProServ team assists our largest enterprise customers in successfully launching the Modern Treasury integration. This complex engagement requires engineers to engage directly with clients, understanding their unique requirements while balancing both internal and external constraints.

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, your work will be diverse and dynamic. Tasks may include taking customer calls, coding new platform features, designing data ingestion systems, or coordinating with partners. You will have the opportunity to work with various technologies, design robust systems, and develop your skills as a Software Engineer.

At the heart of our platform lies our cutting-edge Payments product, enabling businesses to seamlessly move money across the banking ecosystem. Our Reconciliation product enables near real-time reconciliation of financial transactions, and our Ledgers product offers a high-throughput database for tracking financial activities. Together, these solutions facilitate the movement of billions of dollars.

Our API is often the most critical piece of infrastructure that our customers use. We place a premium on building robust, scalable systems that can sustain a high volume of API calls and exceed the reliability requirements to move money at scale. We complement this with well-thought-out interfaces for our users and pride in writing quality API docs.

Modern Treasury is the operating system for money movement. Our payment operations platform combines a suite of APIs and dashboards to help companies unlock new payments revenue, strengthen customer experiences, and drive efficiency through their business. Our end-to-end platform moves enterprises forward with faster payments, efficient workflows, full data visibility, and seamless bank integrations.

Week by Week

During your first week, you will:
Get to know our leadership, culture, and values
Onboard with the engineering team
Ship your first commit on day 1
Take on 1-2 small tickets to address bugs or make minor improvements
Read our favorite industry primers

During your first six weeks, you will:
Ship your first major project
Write your first blog post. We love writing at Modern Treasury (and have been on the front page of Hacker News multiple times with posts like "What Happens When You ACH a Dead Person?" and "How to Build an Insurance Company")
Shadow a few customer and partner meetings every week

During your first six months, you will:
Work with our product team to scope and ship products for both our engineering and finance users
Help grow our team by mentoring new engineers, writing internal tooling and documentation, and interviewing new hires

What You Should Have
5+ years of professional experience in building web applications
Proficient in SQL and relational databases
Excellent communication skills
