Essential Functions
  • Greet guests promptly with a warm and sincere welcome, maintaining eye contact and using a clear, positive voice while listening to their requests and responding appropriately.
  • Utilize operational and sales techniques to optimize occupancy rates and achieve the highest possible average rates, ensuring staff does the same. Provide accurate information and promote hotel amenities effectively.
  • Manage cash transactions according to accounting guidelines, ensuring compliance with all financial procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication within the Front Office and across all hotel departments, staying informed about front office and general hotel operations. Attend scheduled meetings and report any concerns or suggestions to management.
  • Adhere to safety, security, and emergency protocols, responding appropriately during crises and promptly addressing hazards. Follow security measures regarding guest room keys and protect guest information diligently.
  • Operate front office technology, including telephones and computer systems, efficiently.
  • Facilitate the registration process swiftly, inputting and retrieving information accurately, confirming guest details, and providing necessary documentation, including room keys and relevant certificates.
  • Verify and process credit card transactions using electronic methods, manage cash, and balance assigned cash banks while adhering to established payment procedures.
  • Provide safety deposit box services to guests in line with hotel policies.
  • Answer phone calls promptly with a friendly tone, documenting messages accurately and relaying them to guests as needed. Manage mail and small packages for guests efficiently.
  • Address and resolve guest issues and complaints promptly, authorizing adjustments when necessary and documenting all resolutions. Keep management informed of any guest-related concerns.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Company Standards of Service as established by Marriott.
  • Project a positive image of Marriott Greenville to the public consistently.
  • Perform all duties in a timely and efficient manner, in accordance with company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of the role.
  • Treat guests, vendors, customers, and colleagues with professionalism and respect at all times.
  • Complete required training as assigned by the department, Marriott, and brand standards.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
  • Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Experience/Education
