Job Summary:

As the HVAC Lead for Putnam City Schools, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all HVAC equipment across the district. This includes supervising a team of HVAC technicians, assigning and assisting with work orders, and ensuring that all repairs and replacements are completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train HVAC technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Assign and assist with work orders, ensuring that all repairs and replacements are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all HVAC equipment, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and air handlers.
  • Ensure that all HVAC equipment is properly maintained and serviced to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Maintenance and Buildings & Grounds, to ensure that all HVAC-related issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest HVAC technologies and best practices to ensure that the district's HVAC systems are running at optimal levels.

Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Valid State of Oklahoma contractor's license.
  • Applicable city contractor's license (Bethany, Oklahoma City, and Warr Acres).
  • Licensed in the following areas: boilers, refrigeration, unlimited air conditioning, unlimited heating, natural gas piping, and sheet metal.
  • A good knowledge of HVAC central plants and individual units (chillers, cooling towers, boilers, rooftop package, split systems).
