School Psychologist Position in Connecticut

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team in a school setting near Vernon, CT.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological assessments, develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and provide counseling and intervention services to students. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, behavioral interventions, and special education laws.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' needs and recommend appropriate services.
- Develop and implement IEPs for students requiring special education services, working closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Implement evidence-based interventions to support student well-being and development.
- Respond promptly to crises and provide immediate support and intervention to students, staff, and families.
- Utilize progress monitoring data and evidence-based practices to inform instructional strategies and behavioral interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to design and implement strategies that promote student success.
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Connecticut School Psychologist certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, behavioral interventions, and special education laws.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
