School Psychologist Position in Vernon, CT

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate School Psychologist to join our team in Vernon, CT. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive educational environment, where your expertise will play a crucial role in fostering student success.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' needs and recommend appropriate services.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring special education services.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Respond promptly to crises and provide immediate support and intervention to students, staff, and families.
- Utilize progress monitoring data and evidence-based practices to inform instructional strategies and behavioral interventions.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to design and implement strategies that promote student success.
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Connecticut School Psychologist certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, behavioral interventions, and special education laws (IDEA, Section 504).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and in a multidisciplinary team environment.
