We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Assistant to support our retention initiatives at Dunwoody College. The successful candidate will work closely with our Student Affairs team to design and implement programs and services that enhance the student experience and contribute to the retention efforts of the College.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize data sources to identify and create retention and success initiatives for individual students.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to facilitate retention efforts within the Construction Sciences and Building Technology department.
- Support the PACE program, a retention initiative for first-generation students, and manage the PACE ambassador program.
- Assist with the collection, analysis, and response to assessment data throughout Student Affairs.
- Participate in weekly Students of Concern Intervention Team meetings.
- Ability to speak publicly and present information in a cohesive, organized manner.
- Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn new computer programs and database management systems.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Ability to think critically.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Goal and team-oriented, with a commitment to building positive working relationships.
- Ability to work with and communicate effectively with people from all backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with students in a post-secondary education setting.
- Previous experience working with diverse and under-represented populations.
This is a part-time position, requiring 15 hours per week, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. The work environment is indoors in a climate-controlled office setting.
