As an Infant Room Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in nurturing the growth and development of infants in our care. You will create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical well-being.
Responsibilities:- Curriculum Development and Implementation: Design and execute engaging daily lesson plans tailored to the specific developmental needs of infants, incorporating age-appropriate activities and materials.
- Nurturing Environment: Provide a safe, clean, and nurturing environment where infants feel secure, loved, and supported. Attend to their physical and emotional needs, including feeding, diapering, comforting, and providing individual attention.
- Developmental Observation and Communication: Carefully observe and document the developmental progress of each infant, sharing your insights and observations with parents/guardians regularly through conferences or written reports.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers and staff members to ensure continuity of care and education for the infants in our program. Participate actively in team meetings and discussions.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration. Ensure all materials are age-appropriate, safe, and readily accessible.
- Compliance and Professional Development: Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding infant care and education. Stay current with best practices in early childhood development by participating in professional development opportunities.
- Minimum of 1 year of documented experience working as an Infant Teacher in a licensed childcare setting.
- Two work-related (Professional Child Care) references.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or Early Childhood Education Degree.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Food Handlers Permit.
- BKC (Basic Knowledge of Child Care) Training.
