The Care Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the clinic and physician care team by providing administrative and patient care services.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide communication and liaison between providers and patients
- Build and maintain physician schedules
- Schedule patient appointments, surgeries, and diagnostic tests
- Obtain referrals and authorizations as required
- Follow up on patient inquiries and communicate with providers as necessary
- Process mail and correspondence
- Coordinate the transmission and acquisition of patient records
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date physician schedules
- Perform additional functions as assigned, including transcription, medical scribing, and assisting with clinic tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Administrative or medical office experience preferred
- Medical terminology knowledge strongly preferred
- Transcription experience, where applicable
- Customer service experience
- Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
- Ability to complete job-required training
- Ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Prompt and reliable attendance
- Ability to work in a clinic, office, or surgery center during business hours
- Ability to travel independently and perform physical tasks as required
- Ability to work at an efficient and productive pace
- Ability to communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
