Role Summary:

As a Cloud Infrastructure and Next Generation Core Engineer at Repeat Consultants, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain advanced virtualization solutions and Next Generation Core technologies. You will enhance your technical skills across various domains.

  • Broadband IP network architecture and signaling methodologies
  • 3GPP Next Generation Core standards
  • ETSI NFV guidelines

Main Responsibilities:

Your role will involve system integration, validation, and technical assistance for NFV components, Software Defined Networking (SDN) applications, and Cloud Management solutions. A significant focus will be on orchestration using OpenStack.

Preferred Knowledge Areas:

NFV Concepts and Implementation:

  • Comprehension of ETSI NFV architecture
  • Knowledge of hypervisor technologies
  • Management of memory and storage
  • Networking features and performance enhancement

Networking with SDN:

Your expertise will be essential in establishing architectures for high-performance SDN, server and network virtualization, and SDN solutions tailored for client products. Familiarity with Linux networking internals and advanced networking principles is required.

Technological Proficiencies:

  • Open vSwitch, Cisco UCS Networking
  • Cloud management frameworks such as OpenStack and Red Hat Director
  • Container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Scripting languages like Python, Shell, and Perl
  • Configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

Network Protocols Expertise:

Experience with TCP/IP, Ethernet, GRE, BGP, and other networking protocols is crucial for this position.

Cloud Management and Orchestration:

Hands-on experience with OpenStack and other cloud management frameworks, container technologies, and scripting languages is expected. Familiarity with Linux High Availability stack is advantageous.

General Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of server hardware
  • Experience in server deployment and configuration
  • Proficiency with network diagnostic tools such as tcpdump/Wireshark
  • Background in engineering or a related technical discipline

Experience Background:

A Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related field is necessary. Over 10 years of industry experience is preferred, with a Master's Degree and over 13 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree being ideal. Strong technical expertise in wireless telecommunications engineering is essential.
