Job Summary

The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance shop, ensuring all repair and maintenance work is performed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. This role requires a strong leader to direct mechanics and leads, providing coaching, counseling, training, and taking corrective actions when necessary.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor operational performance and efficiency, making adjustments as needed to optimize productivity
  • Report to management on performance, recommending process improvements and changes
  • Supervise mechanics in the maintenance shop, including training and development programs
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on hiring, terminations, evaluations, promotions, and other personnel decisions
  • Conduct quality control inspections, tracking issues and resolutions to ensure high-quality work
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring equipment and parts are always available
  • Stay up-to-date with technology advancements in heavy equipment, including engines, emission systems, transmissions, and electrical systems
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience as a mechanic
  • Proven supervisory skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $115,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on experience.
