Summary/Objective
The Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle issues with precision and efficiency, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify required repairs and recommend additional services
- Accurately diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs, including engine and mechanical system repairs
- Verify vehicle serviceability and ensure quality repairs through test drives and system adjustments
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and Dispatchers to ensure seamless customer service
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and company standards
- Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders, following company procedures
- Stay up-to-date with automotive technology and industry developments
- Adhere to attendance and punctuality standards, maintaining accurate time records
- Follow company policies and procedures, including confidentiality agreements
- Participate in training and meetings as required

Work Environment
The Automotive Technician will primarily work in a fast-paced automotive shop environment, with occasional exposure to varying weather conditions and safety hazards.
Physical Demands
This role requires standing for prolonged periods, lifting over 50 pounds with assistance, and frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to or over 35 pounds.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent, combined with two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
Preferred Qualifications
ASE Certification is preferred.
