We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our culinary team at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara Santa Barbara. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing breads and pastries, including doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating as needed. You will also review production sheets to understand the variety of baked goods to be produced daily and maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare breads and pastries according to recipes and quality standards
- Review production sheets to understand daily baked goods production
- Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree
- At least 2 years of related work experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and quality standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
