- Oversee the Project Design team to ensure the design is completed in accordance with the outline specifications and overall project program.
- Manage construction and closeout on assigned projects, ensuring budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction are met.
- Prepare conceptual sketches through the use of CAD for estimating and coordination with clients, providing visual aids for project planning and communication.
- Coordinate project bidding efforts, generate scopes of work, identify long lead time items, and implement project bidding plan, ensuring accurate and reliable data for project planning and decision-making.
- Prepare change orders for designers, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Manage submittal process to ensure materials are procured in advance of being required on site, minimizing delays and ensuring smooth project execution.
- Monitor, review, and control project costs, ensuring alignment with company budget and financial goals.
- Complete and resolve design-related punch list items and execute the project closeout, ensuring customer satisfaction and company standards are met.
- Aide in the drafting efforts of the engineering department as needed, providing support and expertise for project planning and execution.
- Inform supervisor on an ongoing basis of assigned projects and the status of each potential project, ensuring effective communication and project progress.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with designers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, internal office staff, and field personnel, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Assemble members of the organization (construction, superintendent, clerical, engineering, cost control, and other workers) at the start of a project and maintain close communication with these individuals throughout the course of the project, ensuring effective collaboration and project success.
- Ensure design and construction activities adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local environmental rules and regulations, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
