The Financial Services Associate plays a crucial role in guiding members towards their financial objectives and optimizing their financial capabilities through a diverse range of specialized financial offerings. As part of a collaborative advisory team, this role emphasizes attracting new members while also nurturing relationships with existing clients. This position is designed for high-potential individuals eager to embark on a career in brokerage, insurance, or investment advisory, with the opportunity to grow under the mentorship of an experienced financial advisor.

This role is integral to our Retirement Investment Services Team and is expected to consistently present a welcoming and professional demeanor in all interactions with members and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of members' financial and personal aspirations, prioritizing their needs while identifying and acting on opportunities to enhance client assets.
  • Engage with prospective clients, assess investment objectives, create tailored presentations, recommend suitable investment products, and maintain ongoing communication to address client needs.
  • Foster strong relationships within the credit union, effectively manage an existing portfolio, evaluate member requirements, and suggest optimal product combinations through a structured sales approach.
  • Comply with all FINRA and insurance regulations, alongside adherence to company policies.
  • Meet sales targets and revenue objectives while pursuing professional growth and development.
  • Assist in organizing branch seminars and ensure effective follow-up from these events.
  • Contribute to the execution of local marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships, proactively managing future investment requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance member experiences by recognizing and proposing additional financial products and services.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and effective communication across departments, upholding the company's core values and mission.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Examination, Series 6, and 63 registrations required; IAR (65/66 or equivalent) required or the ability to obtain within six months; FINRA Series 7 preferred.
  • Possession of life, health, and variable insurance licenses.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in financial services sales and customer service is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail, alongside effective planning and organizational skills.
  • A friendly demeanor and the ability to represent the Credit Union positively and professionally.
